Specialists from Roskachestvo report that grape crops in southern Russia, which supply the majority of raw materials for affordable wines, have not significantly suffered from hot weather due to winter and spring rains. The use of irrigation systems and mechanized harvesting has also contributed to maintaining yields. Although there are concerns about sugar accumulation in early varieties, significant yield reductions are not expected at the national level. However, spring frosts have caused up to 30% losses in some farms in the northern regions. Harvesting has started earlier due to the heat, with the audit results of the country's largest wine-growing regions expected in early September.
