Russia: Rosselkhoznadzor notes a significant increase in exports and a decrease in imports of dairy products

According to the information system of the Rosselkhoznadzor "Argus", since the beginning of 2021, as of August 8, 122.5 thousand tons of milk and dairy products have been exported from Russia. This is 59% more than in the same period in 2020 (then this figure was 77 thousand tons).
The main buyers of this category of controlled goods were Ukraine (31.6 thousand tons from January 1 to August 8, 2021), Kazakhstan (28.8 thousand tons), Azerbaijan (15.7 thousand tons), Belarus (10.9 thousand tons), Uzbekistan (3.8 thousand tons). The export of milk whey has grown the most - by 4.6 times (from 1.9 thousand tons to 8.9 thousand tons). Shipments of ice cream to other countries increased significantly: from 5.8 thousand tons to 14 thousand tons (an increase of 2.4 times). Supplies of products related to the commodity item TN VED 0403 (buttermilk, yogurt, kefir) increased by 74% - from 26.8 thousand tons to 46.6 thousand tons. Export of cottage cheese since the beginning of this year as of August 8 amounted to 1.65 thousand tons, which is 72% more than in the same period last year (then this figure was 962 tons).
