Russia's 2024 grain harvest reached 129.8 million tons, marking the fifth largest in the country's history, as reported by the Minister of Agriculture, Oxana Lut. This achievement outperforms the previous year's harvest by a slight margin. Despite facing adverse weather conditions during both sowing and harvesting seasons, the harvest size is expected to support Russia and 160 other countries. The 2024 harvest is a notable achievement, especially when compared to the second largest harvest in Russia's history, which stood at 143 million tons in 2023, including grain production from Ukrainian regions annexed by Moscow in 2022.
