The production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight in the Russian Federation in 2022 in farms of all categories increased by 2.9% compared to 2021, to 16.2 million tons, gross milk yield also increased by 2%, to 33 million tons, follows from the materials of Rosstat. The number of cattle in 2022 in farms of all categories decreased by 0.9%, to 17.5 million heads, including 7.7 million cows (minus 0.8%).
