Russian scallop farming area is increasing

More than 18 million juvenile scallops were released into the sea gardens of Primorsky Krai for farming.

The competent authorities of Russia's Primorsky Krai summarized the interim results of this year's release of juvenile fish into seawater from marine farms for pasture rearing and further sales.

To date, marine farmers have released 18.1 million fish into marine habitats. Baby scallops and 1.7 million larvae of Far Eastern sea cucumbers. After reaching commercial scale (which takes 3-4 years), they are fished from the seabed and shipped Go to the food market.

Far Eastern sea cucumbers and scallops are particularly valuable aquatic biological resources; due to the depletion of nature reserves, their industrial production is not allowed in Primorsky Krai.
