The Tyumen region in Russia has seen a significant increase in its agricultural production. As of January, the region had 10,932.1 thousand heads of agricultural poultry, 233.2 thousand pigs, 107.0 thousand cattle, 5.0 thousand sheep and goats, and 2.0 thousand horses. The herd of sheep and goats increased by 16.6% year-on-year, and the number of poultry increased by 3.6%. In January, the region produced 13.7 thousand tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter, milked 30.2 thousand tons of milk, and produced 115.0 million chicken eggs, which is 18.3% more than January 2024. The region is placed second in the Urals Federal District for the production of milk, cattle, and poultry for slaughter, and the number of cattle; third for the production of poultry, pigs, and their production for slaughter, as well as the production of chicken eggs. The products of local enterprises are not only sold within the country but also abroad. In 2025, the volume of state support for the agricultural sector and rural areas of the region will amount to 1,115.7 million rubles.
