Jeju Island held a direct sales event for Jeju sora to promote consumption and increase the income of fishermen in the Gimnyeong and Dodu areas. This event was planned to widely publicize the excellence of Jeju sora and to provide fresh Jeju seafood at reasonable prices to Jeju tourists and residents during the autumn season, as well as to make it available as a gift for the holidays. The first event took place on September 28 at 2 PM at the Gimnyeong Fisheries Culture Complex. Gimnyeong fishermen's wives directly harvested live sora, aged sora, and sora skewers, selling them at lower prices than the market. Packaged and processed products were also prepared for use as holiday gifts.
