Bulgaria: Slow sunflower harvest and low yields are reported by the Ministry of Agriculture in its latest report

According to the latest data of the Ministry of Agriculture from September 21, as of September 14, Bulgarian farmers have harvested 60% of the planned sunflower areas in the country. In a week, they advanced by nearly 20 percentage points, with a total of 961 Kt of sunflower harvested. Yields improved by 4kg to 185kg/dk, but remained 16.7% lower than the previous season.
Maize harvest is progressing slightly more slowly, with 78.7Kha or 15% of the planned areas harvested. Areas increased by 9% points compared to a week earlier.
