Sowing of spring crops began in Ukraine. This was announced on Friday by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of the country. "All categories of farms have sown 293 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops, of which spring wheat - 76.1 thousand hectares, spring barley - 168.1 thousand hectares, peas - 35.3 thousand hectares, oats - 14.2 thousand hectares," the message says. According to the agency, in total, about 210 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops were already sown last week. Most spring grain and leguminous crops were sown in the Ternopil region - 67.6 thousand hectares. In addition, it is noted that sunflower sowing has begun in the Odessa region, and sugar beet sowing in Vinnitsa, Volyn, Rivne, Khmelnitsky and Cherkassy regions.
