Strawberry Prices Have Changed in Ukraine

This week in Ukraine, the trend of declining strawberry prices has intensified, which is associated with a sharp increase in supply from local farms against a backdrop of restrained demand. EastFruit reports. A sharp increase in strawberry volumes in the market has caused a decrease in selling prices in this segment. While at the end of the last working week, berries were sold at a price of 110–180 UAH/kg, now prices have dropped to 90–160 UAH/kg, which is an average of 16% lower. It is worth noting that despite the price reduction, the current cost of strawberries in Ukraine is still approximately 64% higher than during the same period last year. Market participants do not rule out a further price decline as early as next week, as supply continues to grow, while the quality of berries often does not meet buyers' expectations.
