In Gölhisar district of Burdur, the harvest of sugar beet, which is one of the main sources of income for the region and its surroundings and has been cultivated for about 60 years, continues. Farmers' sugar beet harvesting work started in September this year, as in previous years. Producers started to load the sugar beets they harvested from the fields onto trucks and tractors and deliver them to the sugar factory. The factory aims to process 755 thousand tons of beet and produce approximately 102 thousand tons of sugar during the campaign period. Although there is drought in the region where beet digging is carried out in various parts of the Gölhisar Plain, producers are satisfied with the yield.
