At a press briefing following a regular meeting of the Thai Government held on February 15, Deputy Thai Government Spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek stated that the Thai Government had agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Cooperatives of Thailand and the Ministry of Agriculture and Viet Nam Rural Development Cooperation on Information Exchange to Combat Illegal Fishing. The Memorandum of Understanding is scheduled to be signed at the 7th meeting of the Thailand-Vietnamese Joint Working Group on Combating Illegal Fishing, which will be held in March 2023 in Vietnam.
