The value added from agriculture for 2021 is over BGN 4.2 - 4.3 billion. Record values have been achieved, as the gross output according to preliminary NSI data amounts to BGN 10.2 billion. This is due to the good harvest and the noticeable increase in prices. The share of cereals and oilseeds, which accounted for about 50% of gross agricultural output, in 2021 will increase this percentage to over 60%, according to an analysis of the Center for Agricultural Economic Research - CAPA at the Institute of Agriculture economy. Gross production of cereals and oilseeds in 2021 will be about 55% above the levels of 2020. The preliminary estimate of the NSI for gross output in grain production is an increase of 61%, and for oilseeds - 54%. The largest increase in value is reported for wheat - 76% and rapeseed - 81%.
