In June, millet prices varied in the range of 6000-6500 UAH / t with VAT, subject to delivery to the warehouse. The main regions of millet cultivation in Ukraine are Mykolayiv, Odesa, Kherson and Dnipro regions. For domestic farmers, millet is a reliable insurance crop, because in the most unfavorable years, its yield is not less than 10 centners per hectare. And at observance of necessary receptions of agrotechnics and achievement of optimum density of crops it is possible to expect millet productivity at the level of 15-17 ts / hectare. Real exports of millet, according to analysts, in 2017/2018 MY amounted to 27 thousand tons. South Africa became the leader in the procurement of domestic millet with 19% of the total supply of this crop from Ukraine.
