The CHS allocates 303,510 euros to design the complete renovation of the Albujón embankment propulsion.

The Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) has formalized the contracting of services for the drafting of the project for the major repair and renovation of the drives and pumping stations of the drainage network of the Campo de Cartagena. The price of the contract amounts to 303,510.35 euros and a planned execution of twelve months. After more than 20 years of operation, the system presents a high level of deterioration, especially in the 28 km of pipelines, the joints of the conduits, and in the pumping stations of Los Narejos, El Albujón, and El Mojón, which suffer recurrent breakages and losses. A part of the nutrients that enter the Mar Menor do so through the sub-surface flows of the Quaternary aquifer that emerge in the El Albujón stream.
