The social-sanchista Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, finds himself at a crossroads in his long political career, which dates back to 1982, when he was first elected deputy for Córdoba, his adoptive province: on one hand, continuing alongside Pedro Sánchez and in the Government, where he has just completed seven years, which will increase his co-responsibility in the scandals emerging these days and those to come; the second possibility is to resign and flee, to reduce his exposure; finally, there is a third way, which is to remain in the Executive, but keeping a low profile, an art in which he is a master, as he has done in recent days, and wait for the storm to pass while simultaneously approaching his friends in the PP, which he has, to come out as little damaged as possible. While these unknowns are being cleared up, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing, and Food continues to be in disarray and it will be difficult to recover this department from Planas's tenure.
