Vietnam: Dwarf coconut planted last year gives too much fruits

According to statistics of the professional industry, the whole Phung Hiep district (Hau Giang province) currently has 584ha of coconut plantations. Besides the traditional Siamese coconut varieties, farmers in the district are developing super dwarf coconut varieties, with high yield and very high economic efficiency. The dwarf super Siamese coconut is quick to fruit and quick to harvest, from planting to harvesting the first fruit takes only 18 months. The super dwarf coconut tree trunk is only about 1m high, but each year gives 5-6 coconut chambers, each chamber has 15-20 fruits.
