Tridge summary

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food has not included the egg sector among the beneficiaries of the exceptional aid for producers in the agricultural sectors, approved by the European Commission, based on the provisions of Delegated Regulation 2022/467 of 23 March 2022. This is a budget allocation of 500 million euros, intended for those sectors that were already going through a tough situation over the last few months, due to the sustained increase in production costs, derived, among others, from the increase in the prices of raw materials for animal feed, energy and fuel prices, as well as changes in trade flows, and whose situation has been particularly aggravated by the problems arising from the war in Ukraine. The aid is provided for in the national response plan to the economic and social consequences of the war in Ukraine and will be financed with 64.49 million euros from European funds and 128.98 million euros from the ministry; 193.4 million in total.
