(EUROPA PRESS) - The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, José Luis Aguirre, has sent a letter to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, to convey his concern and that of the entire sector for the detection of pests and diseases in imported plant products from third countries during the month of July.

(EUROPA PRESS) - The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, José Luis Aguirre, has sent a letter to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, to convey his concern and that of the entire sector for the detection of pests and diseases in imported plant products from third countries during the month of July. In his letter, Aguirre calls for a review of the phytosanitary import requirements to stop and prevent the spread of pests, as well as to review trade agreements between the European Union (EU) and countries and economic-commercial areas such as Brazil, within Mercosur, or South Africa, reports the Generalitat.
