The incidence of livestock diseases in Kazakhstan has decreased by 68.1% since the beginning of the year

Over the past three years, animal morbidity in Kazakhstan has decreased by 49.1%. In the first five months of 2025, this indicator was 68.1% — primarily due to a reduction in cases of brucellosis, rabies, emkar, and anthrax. This was announced by Vice Minister of Agriculture Amangaliy Berdalin at a meeting chaired by Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov, which discussed veterinary safety issues and identified key priorities for the near future. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the agricultural department, within the framework of the state prevention and diagnostics program in 2025, vaccines will be purchased against 22 infectious diseases of agricultural animals. The share of domestic vaccines is 74.4%.
