The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has officially recognized the Interprofessional Organization of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants (Interpam), pursuant to a ministerial order published today in the Official State Gazette. Interpam, established in June 2024, aims to represent and defend the common interests of the production and marketing of the aromatic and medicinal plants sector in Spain. Among its main objectives are to improve knowledge and transparency in the sector, promote quality, traceability, and differentiation of productions, boost their promotion and valorization, encourage sustainability, good practices, and productive efficiency, as well as promote innovation, modernization, coordination, and competitiveness of the sector. The recognition is made under the provisions of the law regulating agri-food interprofessional organizations, and has the favorable report of the General Council of Agri-Food Interprofessional Organizations.
