The VIII Almond and Hazelnut Meeting, organized by the Association of Almond and Hazelnut Exporters of Spain (SAB-Almendrave), has been marked by the opening of the Chinese market and by the progressive increase in the cultivation area in our country . In 2022, 170,000 hectares of irrigated almond cultivation were registered, which represents 21% of the total area, our country has 756,000 hectares. The forecast aims to reach a production of 184,000 tons of almond kernels by the year 2025. Pistachio cultivation in Spain is also growing exponentially, especially in Castilla-La Mancha.
