Naju City once again proved its reputation as the home of "premium Naju Pears." Farmer Jeong Jin-chae from Geumcheon-myeon in Naju City received the Grand Prize at the nationwide Korean Pear Evaluation Meeting, marking the fruit of meticulous growth management and consistent efforts to improve quality. Naju City (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) announced that Jeong Jin-chae, the representative of Naju Moksagol Farm located in Wonok-gil, Geumcheon-myeon, won the "Best Variety Award" (Korea Fruit Association President's Award) at the "21st Nationwide Korean Pear Festival and Evaluation Meeting" held on the 7th at Yeonji Art Hall in Jeongeup City, Jeollabuk-do. This evaluation meeting was jointly organized by the National Horticultural Special Crop Science Institute Pear Research Center and Jeongeup City, and was hosted by the Korean Pear Research Association (President Jang Deok-yong) with excellent participants from across the nation.
