As of January 19, 2022, the average price of bread wheat has fallen compared to January 12 this year. with BGN 12 per ton - from BGN 519 to BGN 507 without VAT according to SAPI data. The discount for fodder varieties is also BGN 12 - from BGN 506 to BGN 494. Down, but with a lower percentage, are corn (from BGN 483 to BGN 476) and barley (from BGN 456 to BGN 453). The minimum weekly increase was registered only for sunflowers - from BGN 1,115 on January 12 to BGN 1,116 on January 19. There are no data on rapeseed. Despite the temporary decline in cereal prices, compared to a year earlier, prices remain significantly higher. The biggest growth on an annual basis is barley, which is 46% more expensive in early 2022 (plus BGN 143). The price of feed wheat is nearly 33% higher, which is equal to 122 levs more than last year. Corn is 32.6 percent more expensive (plus 117 levs / ton), and bread wheat is 29.7% higher than the prices reported on January 20, 2021, which is 116 levs more. ...
