Corn prices remain steady in the domestic market, returning to the levels seen in June of this year, according to surveys by the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea). According to the institute, producers continue to focus on sowing the summer crop. In some regions of the country, heavy rains have put agents on alert. Regarding negotiations, sellers prioritize fulfilling already established contracts and await new price increases to return to the spot market. On the other hand, researchers explain that the upward movement in prices tends to be limited by lower demand. Buyers report having sufficient stocks for the short term and, as a result, acquire new batches on an occasional basis.
