The prices of mungbean and red bean continue to rise in Myanmar

Yangon, The prices of mungbean and red bean, which have been rising since last week in the Burinnaung market, have continued to rise without stopping this week. On March 7th, mungbean FAQ/RC (size between 2.2 mm - 3.25 mm) which was only 1863,000 kyats per ton, became 1965,000 kyats per ton (about 63,180 kyats per basket) for more than a week. The price has increased by more than 100,000 kyats per ton. Similarly, the price of SQ/RC (size above 3.25 mm), which was only 2083,000 kyats per ton on March 7th, has risen to 2225,000 kyats per ton (about 7,540 kyats per basket) today on March 15th, so the price has increased by more than 140,000 kyats per ton in more than a week. Similarly, the price of red peas has also been rising. Today, in the Yangon Burinnaung market, the price of green peas (AC - 2023) is 2235,000 kyats per ton (about 7,860 kyats per basket).
