The Spanish water reservoir accumulates 18 weeks of decline

The Spanish water reservoir has continued to decline and has now accumulated 18 consecutive weeks of decrease, currently reaching 55% of its capacity, with a total of 30,827 cubic hectometers (hm3) of water accumulated in Spanish reservoirs. According to information provided this Tuesday by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (Miteco), the amount of water stored in Spain decreased last week by 487 hm3, 0.9% of the current total capacity of the reservoirs. Precipitation has "considerably" affected the entire peninsula this last week, according to data provided by the Ministry. The maximum precipitation was recorded in Tortosa with a total of 72.8 liters per square meter.
