Fatty dairy products will continue to become cheaper in Ukraine. This trend will persist until the first half of 2026, and by New Year, the price drop could reach 30-35%, said Olena Zhupinas, Deputy General Director of the Association of Milk Producers, on Ukrainian Information Service. The main reason for the reduction in dairy prices is the decrease in product prices on the European market. Since the end of summer, global butter prices have fallen by over 30%. Last year, Ukrainian exporters sold this product to the EU at 7 euros per kilogram. Now, this cost is no more than 4.5 euros, explained the expert. Currently, Ukrainian processors are refocusing on the domestic consumer, and the price drop in butter is already noticeable. This will continue, predicts Olena Zhupinas, but mainly in the form of promotions in sales networks: by 30-35% on store shelves.
