Vera chaired the meeting of the Andalusian Dried Fruit Table where he recalled that "85% of the 234,000 hectares of almond trees in Andalusia are cultivated in the traditional way by professionals who work hard every day to bring quality products to the markets that are respectful of the environment", also referring to the "important socioeconomic weight that this crop has in rural areas of Andalusia", for which he has insisted on the first modification of the Strategic Plan to focus on this crop. Vera has stressed that "the agricultural sector is the engine of the most rural areas of this land and a great pillar of our economy."
