"The hot days in full bloom caused some problems in the fruit set of the early varieties, so we had to adjust the forecasts downwards," says Agustín Sánchez, general secretary of the Fruit Federation of Aragon. "Still, we will achieve figures of an average year, slightly above 32,000 tons." This recovery of the volumes does not only apply to cherry. "Finally we have nice quantities again. For stone fruit we will be around the level of 2019. In 2020 and 2021 we had some frost problems and in 2022 it was even a disaster with the freezing temperatures in the spring."
