This year's first export to Canada increases 200 times.

Gyeonggi Icheon pears embarked on their first Canadian export journey this year. The Gyeonggi East Horticultural Farmers Cooperative (Chairman Yu Jae-woong) held a "Icheon pear Canada export shipment ceremony" on November 25 at the Hatsare Agricultural Product Distribution Center (APC) in Janghowon-eup, Icheon City, and shipped 8 tons of registered pears to Canada. This marks the expansion of export routes to North America, following the existing Taiwan market. Around 50 people, including Icheon Mayor Kim Kyung-hee, Gyeonggi East Horticultural Farmers Cooperative Chairman Yu Jae-woong, Baegongseonhoe Chairman Lee Hyun-young, and member farmers, attended the shipment ceremony. The attendees inspected the selection and storage process and looked around the advanced treatment facilities to see the strict quality control system.
