Three new fish processing plants will be built in the Primorsky Krai by 2029, with a total investment in the projects amounting to around 2.2 billion rubles. This was reported by Yana Ryzhkova, Deputy Minister of Forestry, Environmental Protection, Wildlife, and Natural Resources of the Primorsky Krai, in an interview with TASS.
"More than 600 organizations with the type of economic activity 'Fishing' are registered in the region. ... This year, a large fish processing plant for pollock and other fish species in Nakhodka was commissioned. JSC 'Fishing Collective Farm 'New World' (DG 'Dobroflot') invested 1.5 billion rubles in the project, creating 376 jobs. Another large plant — also JSC 'Yuzhmorrybflot' — and two small-capacity plants, LLC 'Vles-snek', are scheduled for construction by 2029, with an investment volume of 2.2 billion rubles," she said.
In addition, Ryzhkova noted that four projects for the construction of logistics complexes with a declared investment volume of more than 8.5 billion rubles are being implemented in the region.
