Tomato export ban lifted in Turkey

The tomato export of Muğla, especially from Fethiye, Ortaca and Dalaman regions, which was banned due to domestic supply, was abolished by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The ban was lifted after 50 institutions objected to the export ban on export champion fresh tomatoes. 1 billion dollars of exports in tomato and derivative products have been opened. The export ban on fresh tomato exports on 3 March 2023 was lifted after 3 days upon objection from the sector.
