Tunisia loses 25% of its production in this campaign

The production of olive oil in Tunisia experienced during the 2022/2023 campaign, a 25% drop compared to the last campaign, reaching 180 thousand tons, according to data provided by the National Oil Office (ONH), dependent on the Observatory National Agency for Agriculture (ONAGRI) of the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, in a report dedicated to monitoring the current olive grove campaign in that country, and which is included in the Espace Manager publication. The data referring to olive production are below the national average registered in the last decade, and the entity estimates that they are around 211,000 tons. Regarding the geographical distribution of olive oil production, the central-west region (Sidi Bouzid, Kairouan and Kasserine) ranks first with a production of 75,000 tons of olive oil, that is, 42% of the National Production.
