Peru: Ucayali producers export 50 tons of cocoa beans to Italy

In a transcendental step towards agricultural economic reactivation, the Selva Verde de Atalaya Organic Producers Association, located in the Ucayali region, today completed the export of 50 tons of cocoa beans, between conventional and organic, to Italy. This export was achieved thanks to the implementation of the “Anchor Company” strategy, promoted by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, through Sierra y Selva Exportadora, which consists of supporting the commercial coordination of small and medium-sized agricultural organizations through of agro-export companies. Contract for 500 tons Two containers, each with 25 tons of cocoa beans, mark the beginning of a contract for 500 tons between the Atalaya producers association and the ICAM chocolate industry, with delivery of the 500 tons expected to be completed by the end of this year.
