Exports of Ukrainian grain for the period from September 1 to 21 amounted to 1.45 million tons, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine. This is almost two times less than the corresponding period a year ago when the country supplied 2.94 million tons of grain to foreign markets. Ministry data showed that Ukraine exported a total of 6 million tons of grain in the July-June 2023/24 season, compared to 7.2 million tons for the same period in the 2022/23 season.

The current volume includes 2.9 million tons of wheat, 2.5 million tons of corn and 596 thousand tons of barley. Ukraine has traditionally sent most of its exports through its deep-water Black Sea ports.
