Ukraine has seen an increase in barley exports this season, driven by large purchases from China in the early months of the season. Following China's shift to harvesting its own crop, Ukraine has pivoted to exporting to traditional markets such as Spain and Jordan. The country is on track to export around 600 thousand tonnes of barley by the end of the season. The 22nd International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN. EUROPE-2025, to be held in Prague, will further discuss the development of the grain sector in the Black Sea and Danube region.
