Ukraine's grain exports in the 2022/23 crop year reached only 36.6 million tons

According to Reuters, citing data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture, Ukraine's grain exports in the 2022/23 crop year to March 24, 2023 reached only 36.6 million tons, down from 44.8 million. tons exported during the same period in 2022 due to reduced harvests and transportation difficulties caused by the Russian crisis. Cereal exports include about 12.6 million tons of wheat, 21.5 million tons of corn and 2.26 million tons of barley. Particularly in March 2023 (as of March 24, 2023) grain exports reached 4.29 million tons. After nearly 6 months of blockade due to the Russian crisis, three Black Sea ports of Ukraine were cleared at the end of July 2022 under an agreement between Russia and Ukraine, brokered by the United Nations and Turkey.
