Trade tensions between the United States and China may impact agricultural trade between the two countries, especially soybeans, and this growing dispute could strengthen trade ties between Russia and China, believes Edwini Kessie, Director of Agriculture and Commodities at the World Trade Organization. China is one of the world's largest feed importers, primarily purchasing them from the United States and Brazil. Recently, China has been focusing on diversifying feed imports from various origins. "We have already seen China diversify soybean imports over the past decade. Brazil, in particular, is becoming an increasingly important source of feed imports for China," Kessie said in an extensive interview with Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights.
