USA: West Texas A&M begins construction of a cattle fattening complex for research

It is expected that the WTAMU Foundation research feedlot and the Paul F. and Virginia J. Engler Foundation feedlot education center will offer training to students at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU). Individual donors and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) provided financial support for the complex. The feedlot and the educational building will help maintain WTAMU's leadership in teaching, research, and service for large animals for human consumption through the Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences and the Department of Agricultural Sciences. “Thanks to our generous donors and the solid collaboration with the WTAMU Foundation, we will have a research and cattle fattening center designed to strengthen the beef industry and related sectors through research, innovation, and education,” declared Walter V.
