Wheat rises in Chicago

The weekly analysis by the International Center for Economic Analysis and Agricultural Market Studies (Ceema), referring to the period from November 28 to December 4 and published this Thursday (4), points out that wheat quotations have risen again in Chicago in the first week of December. According to the bulletin, "the bushel of the cereal, for the first month, closed on Thursday (04) at US$ 5.41, up from US$ 5.31 a week earlier". The average for November ended at US$ 5.35, a 4.7% increase from the previous month, although below the US$ 5.52 per bushel recorded in November 2024. Ceema highlights that the price movement occurs amid an increase in global supply. The United States announced an increase in the production estimate for the 2025/26 wheat crop, which now stands at 54 million tons.
