And the Ministry of Health recommends eating 22 kg per year. In Russia, the level of self-sufficiency in fish in 2022 amounted to 153.3%. This is much more than established in the Food Security Doctrine (85%), the ministry emphasizes. So the Ministry of Agriculture proposes to exclude the goal of increasing fish consumption to 25 kg per person from the state program for the development of the fishery complex, since this amount "indirectly duplicates the indicator in terms of the level of self-sufficiency in fish."
