Entire strands of hand-pressed black tea shaped like spheres are part of the proposal from Establishment Las 5 Hermanas, which from the town of Gobernador López, in the province of Misiones, is exploring the world of artisanal infusions. With more than eight decades dedicated to industrial tea production, after the pandemic, Lucas Vallejos and his wife Laura Krieger became authors of these manually elaborated tea nests with a unique presentation in the national market. Innovating in the production and consumption forms of Misiones tea was one of the objectives that this couple set out to achieve in order to give origin to this peculiar product: Tea Nest. Although the bulk of tea continues to be destined for industry, the artisanal production segment is growing in Misiones hand in hand with a constant demand around specialty infusion consumption as well as experiences linked to rural tourism.
