Yeonggwang County (County Head Jang Se-il) announced that a "Mutual Cooperation Agreement for the Conservation of Water Quality in Agricultural and Fishing Villages" was signed with the Korea Rural Community Corporation last month on the 30th. This agreement aims to create a sustainable local community where agriculture and the environment coexist and to ensure clean and stable agricultural water through the systematic management and conservation of agricultural and fishing village water. The signing ceremony was attended by County Head Jang Se-il and Jeong Gyeong-hun, the Yeonggwang Branch Manager of the Korea Rural Community Corporation, who expressed their mutual willingness to cooperate. According to the agreement, the two organizations will work on improving pollution sources and reducing pollutant inflows within the reservoir watershed, reducing upstream pollution sources and improving the water quality of inflow rivers, and identifying and addressing pollution sources for water quality improvement.
