“According to preliminary results for the past 4 months of the current season, Russia exported about 21 million tons of grain and grain products. The geography of grain exports this year exceeded 95 countries, of which almost half (43) increased purchases. Turkey (4.0 million tons) and Egypt (1.9 million tons) remain the largest importers. But at the same time, one cannot fail to note the growth of interest in Russian wheat from Saudi Arabia, which imported a record 0.5 million tons, and Algeria, which purchased 88 thousand tons. I want to note that supplies to this country will increase, since Russia won a large supply of wheat to Algeria. The country intends to purchase from 700,000 to 800,000 tons of Russian wheat as part of import purchases. According to the terms of the last tender, the detection limit for pest-damaged grain was increased to a maximum of 1% compared to the 0.5% limit in previous tenders, due to which more proposals for Russian wheat are expected.
