Non-GMO Cashew Nuts

Our goal is to be one of the big trading companies in Africa, becoming a platform thanks to which local farmers can send their products to the rest of the world. We want to generate long term partnerships with our buyers and become a reference company to help them and provide them with a quality product at a good price. Our target is to expand by buying more land and have more of our own production in order to be able to respond to higher demand in the future.

The company is managed by a partnership, with two associates working in Benin and the United States. This gives us the perfect combination of a local based approach that allows us to keep control of the quality and all the process in Benin while having a foot on the international market.

Although the product can be consumed for 12 months after yield, it is processed upon demand in order to keep it as fresh as possible, avoiding having it stored in warehouses. The product is packed in 50lbs vacuum bags.

After an order is made, the product takes one week to be ready for delivery. Products are shipped from the port of Cotonou, located at a 200km distance from our facilities.

The quality control for the product are conducted first internally, with strict implementation of best practices for hygiene, following AFI Standards, and later are conducted by independent surveyors from companies such as SGS. Quality and hygiene control are a top priority for the company, which not only is extremely careful with all the processes and standards but also has a local representative very experimented in all these best practices.

All the factories we work with for processing, both in Benin and abroad, have all the required certifications.

Odalex AfriCommodity has its own cashew production in the North of Benin, with a 50-acre farm, and also purchases products in Ivory Coast and Togo. There are no chemical products used in the production of cashew nuts, which can be harvested all year round. The current annual production is at around 1000 MT, but that quantity can be easily multiplied by four if needed. The production of cashews in West Africa benefits from ideal equatorial weather conditions, combining sunny dry seasons with rainy wet seasons.
The processing is made both in local factories and also in Vietnam.

Odalex AfriCommodity offers non-GMO cashew nuts that can be consumed up to 12 months after being yielded. Processed upon request, the product has a great quality at a very competitive price. Samples can be arranged if required.
