The average production yield is 200 hectares of coffee trees. The cultivated area is located in Ethiopia and the main harvesting season is from October to December. In Ethiopia, coffee is produced in forest, semi-forest, garden and plantation production methods. Generally, Ethiopian coffee is grown in a sustainable approach: environmentally friendly, shade-grown and ecologically sound. Coffee is a tropical plant which is also grown in a semi-tropical climate. The coffee tree requires heat, humidity and abundant rainfall. Coffee processing involves removing the skin, pulp, and parchment from the outer layers of the coffee cherry, to reveal the green coffee bean.

Coffee beans are the seeds of the coffee fruit, often known as the coffee cherry. These bean-like seeds are usually dried, roasted, and brewed to make coffee. Osaka Steel PLC offers green and washed coffee beans. They offer a number of varieties including Ethiopia Guji, Ethiopia Bebeka, Ethiopia Tepi, Ethiopia Ghimbi, Ethiopia Djimmah, Ethiopia Sidamo, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia Harrar, and Arabica. They may be blended or of a single origin and are available in Grade 1,2,3 and 4. The coffee beans are raw, unroasted, whole and washed. The organic beans have a moisture content of 12%and are medium to large in size. The beans can be stored for a few months in suitable conditions to maintain prime quality.
Coffee beans are safe to eat. However, consuming coffee beans in moderation is advised because their nutrients are more concentrated than liquid coffee’s. They have anti-inflammatory properties that protect against certain diseases and boost energy and mood.
