The harvested and dried hibiscus is stored in dry warehouse storage and under strict moisture and humidity control. They are then packed in 25 kg PP bag or 12.5 m/t per container. The average production yield of the flowers is 3000 MT per year and the main harvest season falls between October and November. Harvesting is done manually once the flowers are fully blooming by handpicking. The stamens are removed from the flowers, this is followed by the flowers being washed to remove dirt and insects. The flowers are then sun-dried. This usually takes a few days and turns the flowers brittle.

Roselle (Hibiscus Sabdariffa) also known as Zobo plant in Nigeria is a shrub belonging to the Malvaceace family and is widely grown in Africa. The world's best Roselle comes from Sudan and Nigeria. It is a good source of nutrients, vitamins and minerals and there are many health benefits of the flower. It aids in maintaining healthy teeth and gums, healthy pregnancy, treatment of cold, & prevents constipation.

Commodify Africa Limited offers dried good scarlet hibiscus flowers The flower has bright coloured petals and is produced using conventional methods of production. The dried flower petals can be stored for at least 2 years under suitable condition. The dried flower has the following specifications:

- Moisture less than 6% to 8%

- Total ash 10% maximum

- Acid insoluble ash 1.5% maximum

- Purity 98.5% to 99% clean

- Free from salmonella and foreign matters
