Summary

- Established in 1999. The winery is the realisation of an idea: to place the territory at the centre of a project devoted to producing unique wines. Javier Palacios, the founder of this project, has put his heart, vision, talent and entrepreneurial skills into this trio of wineries whose shared concern is the territory.
- Javier Palacios; The origins of the winery derive from the entrepreneurial nature of Javier Palacios, a Rioja businessman who got involved in wine when he took a stake in Trus, a winery in Ribera del Duero,.
-Its vineyards are of the highest quality, with exceptional micro-terroirs that are able to produce unique wines.
- There are three wineries in the group: Trus, Nivarius and Proelio.
-Vineyards in Albelda de Iregua and Nalda, at elevations of around 750 metres, Badarán at 650 metres and Briones and San Vicente de la Sonsierra at 480 to 550 metres, create a diverse mosaic of areas which play a key role in the production of Rioja wines: Nivarius and Proelio.
-Micro-terroirs that are located in Moradillo, Roa, Peñaranda and Baños de Valdearados.
-In three wineries in Ribera del Duero and Rioja. Sustainable, pesticide and herbicide-free viticulture is practised in both regions and the commitment to wines linked to their origin is at the heart of everything.
-Single-vineyard wines, its portfolio also includes classic ranges of elegant wines that distinctly express the territory.

About me
About me
I, a man raised among vineyards, with attachment to the land and the culture of Rioja wine, am part of an innovative project in Ribera del Duero…

However, over time everything falls into place. And the three wineries are today part of a single philosophy: to search for gifted territories to make unrepeatable wines, different from any other.

Today, the entire team at Palacios Vinos de Finca can show off the expression of these great terroirs, unique wines that are attached to the land, to its origin, an interpretation of that magical combination that each year forms the vineyard, the climate and the grapes.
TRUS
TRUS
At Bodegas Trus, the search for privileged vineyards in high and cool areas has intensified, seeking to produce Ribera del Duero wines that connect territory and texture, drinkable wines, but not exempt from attractive complexity.
NIVARIUS
NIVARIUS
It is the first winery in La Rioja to make entirely white wines, recovering varieties that have almost disappeared. They are the autochthonous varieties such as the Maturana, the Viura, the Garnacha Blanca or the Tempranillo Blanco and selected farms in the vicinity of the Sierra de la Demanda (a little explored territory for the production of wines that benefits from an altitude between 700 and 800 meters and an extreme climate that favors freshness) which configures an unusual project destined to achieve great wines for aging.
PROELIO
PROELIO
It is the Rioja red wine cellar. With a philosophy focused on the search for estates that preserve the diversity of Rioja's wine heritage and allow the production of authentic and honest wines, direct messengers of the expression of the land. In Proelio, high-altitude vineyards and territories capable of offering an x-ray of the different areas of Rioja have been located, highly gifted estates from which to extract a unique expression, channeled into traditional varieties such as Tempranillo, Garnacha or Graciano.
LA CANAL DEL ROJO
LA CANAL DEL ROJO
“New wine from Bodegas Proelio. I am in love with these Garnachas from old vines.” Tim Atkin MW.
From the estate of the same name, it is an octogenarian Grenache red from Badarán, from a vineyard on degraded ferrous clay soils, on the one hand, and angular colluvium stones on the surface. The vines over 80 years old are very old clones, which, together with a stem-based production where the character of the variety prevails, makes La Canal del Rojo a different wine, fresh, fruity, mineral, transparent at the time to express the most elegant side of Garnacha, with wild, aromatic and long-lived touches.

“Tasty and fresh but exotic at the same time. Impressive blend of Tempranillo Blanco with a very attractive price” Tim Atkim
A 100% white Tempranillo wine from vineyards in Albelda de Iregua and Montes de Clavijo, located approximately 800 meters above sea level that make up a fresh, unctuous wine of perfect maturity, agile and pleasant to drink.
NIVARIUS FERMENTADO EN BARRICA
NIVARIUS FERMENTADO EN BARRICA
“Wine that is part of an impressive selection of whites from this Rioja winery. Fermented in barrels, it has a classic style, with good acidity and freshness”. Tim Atkim
Coming from a selection of vineyards located in the Sonsierra Riojana, Albelda de Iregua, Montes de Clavijo and Nalda, it is made with Viura, Maturana Blanca, Tempranillo Blanco and Garnacha Blanca, which are fermented and aged in Bordeaux barrels on their lees. This classically elegant white is aromatic and fruity, with floral notes, sweet, balanced, versatile, with a silky, long drink.
TRUSS
TRUSS
“Black cherry and berries with hints of smoke and bark. Medium to full body, round tannins and a medium fruity finish, with a hint of cedar in the background.” James Sucking.
This red is a journey through the freshest Ribera from the youngest vineyards of the winery.
A direct wine, with minimal aging in wood that preserves flavors of fresh fruit and light spices.
