The Marcona variety decreased from USD 7.14/kg in W6 to USD 7.03/kg in W9, whereas the price of the Largeta variety declined from USD 5.27/kg to USD 5.17/kg, according to La Lonja de Reus.

In Indonesia, the price of the areca nut is still at the lowest price level in W9. The selling price of areca nuts has dropped dramatically to only 50% of the price points of 2 years ago. The production of local cashew nuts is limited in China, and the country is mainly relying on imports. Vietnam is one of the biggest cashew nut exporters to China. The current demand for cashew nuts is stable.
